After an auto accident, things easily can and usually do get confusing and chaotic. So it’s best to be prepared ahead of time so that you know what to do in the event of an accident. We help you be prepared with some helpful hints here. But at its simplest, what you should do following an automotive accident is call the police, file an accident report and make sure you’re okay. You’ll also want to call your auto insurance carrier, take pictures and sketch out how the accident happened. Limit discussion with others on the scene (except the police), and make sure to get real medical care from providers who know auto accidents.
If you have insurance, bring your card with you, if you do not have medical insurance you will still be seen! We’re set up to evaluate and care for you without requiring you to pay anything up-front out-of-pocket. When you call to book an appointment, we’ll explain what you can expect from your first visit, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you! Call (405) 842-3209.
We can’t know that without first evaluating you. However, we have a long history of providing comprehensive treatment that gets excellent outcomes without referring you to surgery. If surgery is necessary, our doctors and other medical professionals will refer you to the appropriate care. And the same goes for any other kind of treatment you may need that we don’t offer here. But it doesn’t happen very often. Just know that we’re committed to seeing that you get the care you need, most of which we provide right here… nonsurgically.
The first thing we’ll do is evaluate you for injury to determine if, in what way and to what extent you are injured. Tests are certainly part of this process. But we can’t know prior to your visit exactly what sorts of tests you may need. We do conduct many tests — including medical imaging, such as CT, X-rays, electron-beam CT, digital ultrasound and MRI — right here for your convenience and for maximum efficiency in diagnosing your injury (or ruling it out). If additional tests are needed, we’ll order them.
At Accident Care and Treatment Center, our aim is reach an accurate, complete diagnosis and get you into treatment as quickly as possible. We cannot promise that you’ll have your treatment recommendation during that first visit, as some testing may not yet be complete. But if we do know what’s going on and have treatment options in mind, we’ll let you know as soon as we can. Sometimes, that can be during the initial appointment.
As auto-accident specialists, we know how important it is to not delay your evaluation (and treatment) at all. That’s why we don’t make you pay up-front out-of-pocket. Just come in and get the care you need. Delaying your care can lead to worsening of the injury. In fact, many people delay evaluation after an accident because they think — or are entirely convinced — that they aren’t injured. But injuries can hide for weeks, even months. Other people delay so long that they run out the clock on any injury coverage that may once have been available from the at-fault party’s insurance. Don’t wait, and don’t worry about money. Call us now to make an appointment: (405) 842-3209.
If you need treatment, we’ll provide it right here at Accident Care and Treatment Center. We have virtually everything that may be needed, from therapies to equipment (braces, etc.) to medications. It is possible that we may find that other treatment modalities are needed, in which case we will help you get the right care so you can get better and get back to your life.
